It's done. A video of the working finished product. Thanks to my buddy Courtney for helping me build the cabinet. I don't know if I could have done it myself. Thanks also to my wife for putting up with me turning the house into a disaster area and even pitching in by filming the youtube videos. Also the bad sound and slow response in Street Fighter is probably because of the file.

One of the most impractical arcade cabinets I've ever seen. An okay PC and a cheap LCD in there would make for a far better solution. That way your iPad isn't tethered to it constantly as well.
ReplyDeletePracticality isn't the best metric with which measure an arcade cabinet. They aren't built for practicality. As far as having to tether the iPad to it. It connects wirelessly... The dock is simply for ease of use and charging. You can hook it up to anything with blutooth. That means you can use it for a computer or even a wii controller.

ReplyDeleteemulator for tablet is better because of the crisp ips screen and the multi touch. This ipad cabinet just didn't do it justice. The cabinet can be improved with a framed windows that covers it , marquee.
